yum

It almost makes me wish i had a cold, to get the full benefit!  :-)  Chicken broth made with FEET!  Here it is this morning, in all its cold gelatinous beauty!

...'Cause, yeah -- i DO believe that when you eat animals snout-to-tail, you get all the nutrients you need, and when you eat only the hygenically-correct, shrink-wrapped, antiseptically-soaked, never-et-a-bug chickens that are FDA-approved for a healthy low-fat diet, you end up anything BUT.  Bon appetit!

    1. there were somewhere between 2 and 2.5 pounds in the two packages i used, which my husband brought me from his favorite oriental grocery store in San Francisco. :-) they're not very expensive, and they sure give me the most beautiful gelatinous stock. (making soup with a roasted bird carcass is put in the shade!)

http://frugalcrunchychristy.blogspot.com/2010/07/how-to-make-stock-from-chicken-feet.html shows basically how to do it, though i soak the feet overnight in the acidified water, and i love parsley in my chicken soup, so that goes in, too. good luck!
