YES....
Two longer-than-they-should-have-been days on the road and one hotel-room with horrible fluorescent lighting later, here I am. We'll be going out for lunch at our favorite Mexican restaurant, where I resolve to eat the guacamole with a spoon, get a glass of white wine instead of a margarita, and probably order the carne asada, though they have great carnitas, chicken and fish dishes too. Mexican food doesn't HAVE to include a lot of carbs! :-D
Welcome home .......
ReplyDeleteI've just opened a nice white wine ...... well it is Saturday evening here - so cheers and good health to you and yours
All the best Jan
thank you, Jan! hope you're having a lovely Easter!
DeleteYeah! Guacamole... WITH a spoon. Fajitas and guac. are my go to items when eating out. Enjoy and welcome back.
ReplyDeleteoh, YEAH.... :-) I'm happy to report that I was PRETTY good at Las Palmas yesterday -- only one glass of chardonnay, guacamole (with a fork), carne asada with peppers and a few of the onions, the cheese that was melted over the beans ... and a shot of Kahlua because they didn't have coffee for afters! At least I was "perfect" at suppertime (seared scallops, Boursin-stuffed mushrooms and decaf)!
Deletehope you have a lovely Easter!
sounds like perfect dining choices....ones I plan to make myself tonight. :)
ReplyDeletehope you enjoy yours as much as I did mine! :-) HAPPY EASTER!!!
DeleteYes, it is nice to be at home - everything in a preferable way.
ReplyDelete:-) I hope your trip was as pleasant as mine!
DeleteIf only I could resist those chips! (better than I USED to be, when I could & DID clean out an entire basket)
ReplyDeletethere's no doubt that those chips are seductive! if you fear you will cave in and eat them, you might do what my daughter does, and take some pork rinds to the restaurant with you (or ask the server if they offer chicharrones) -- they're great with queso, salsa, or guacamole.
