He's made some intriguing observations in the first few chapters- like his statment about grandparents: "It is of course our grandparents that make us tick; more than any other factor in life they color our way of thinking. Parents are merely the carrier of traits."
Anyway, when you're not "cheating" do you try to closely adhere to the 3:1 protein/fat? Do you find yourself adding fat? I think I need to increase the fat % in my calories. I just spent a week of eating about 1500 kcal/day and was hungry much of the time and only lost 1/2 lb. At this rate it's going to take a long time to get to my goal, and I' won't make it if I'm hungry all the time. I haven't been eating my coconut oil lately, so I'm adding that back in to my diet this week too. What's your take on the 1/2 of coffee/meal? I don't think I want to live if I have to limit my coffee to less than 2 cups/ day.Kimhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07567923843080876056noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7221767529759848946.post-7336350777915222612012-09-22T01:59:21.601-05:002012-09-22T01:59:21.601-05:0020 lbs in a year is great IMO given that you don&#...20 lbs in a year is great IMO given that you don't seem to be consciously restricting food quantity, just the type of food you eat. I am actually thinking of changing my diet as I can't take the no weight loss anymore.

As for New Orleans, we lived there for 2 years when we first got married. We go back every few years and bring our kids now. That is a hard place to diet in. You will have to get some cafe au lait and beignets for breakfast and of course you need a Pat Obriens Hurricane drink. I would suggest the Mother's "Ferdi with debris" for a meal too,but that place is in town, not the French quarter.Too bad you didn;t have more time, you can eat awesome food everyday and never get sick of it down there.
