I'm finding myself a little too easily influenced by these very recommendations you mention, and others.

I'm having some negative consequences of eating in the AM, before working out, as well as just feeling overwhelm as a result of all the advice.

Your reminder about conditions - participants, their history, etc - is a good one. And also just reminds me to back it all up, and take it with a grain of salt. When I was a chubby grade-schooler, I seem to recall that my mother made me eat something for breakfast every day -- on weekdays I seem to remember cereal, and on weekends eggs. By the time I was in middle school, i believe i began skipping breakfast because i didn't want it, but eating a decent lunch, and in high school i definitely forwent breakfast and sometimes lunch too, depending on appetite. :-) Coincidentally, i had gotten quite lean by the time i was fourteen!

I really do feel sorry for school-kids and their parents these days -- such absurd and illogical dietary rules being thrust upon them! Young children being denied food because their "accounts" are behind, having their home-made lunches taken away because they don't meet some arbitrary standard.... For many children the slice of toast or bowl of cereals they provide is all they may eat 'til lunch time, and I think growing children should eat breakfast (of sorts) but am I right in this?

All the best JanLowcarb team memberhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07961199165290289611noreply@blogger.com
